Threading
PDO Threading has increased in popularity in the United States over the past few years. Although there are many PDO threads on the market, we decided to bring on MINT threads in late 2022.

What makes them different is their structure. The barbs are press-molded on the surface
Not only do MINT threads promote collagen stimulation, they also help improve overall skin texture, elasticity, fine lines, and volume.

What exactly is a thread lift?
It’s the latest and the hottest trend in cosmetic surgery world as people are looking for instant results, with no downtime. In about 45 minutes, your face will look instantly better and no scars for life.

MINT threads provide immediate results and satisfaction when you walk out the door.
Why choose PDO Thread Lift versus surgical face lift?
Well, it’s not an easy answer and it depends on many factors.
One should ask themselves these questions:
-
Do you want surgery?
-
Do you want scars for life?
-
Do you have 2-3 weeks recovery time?
-
Do you want people to see you completely changed?
If you answered NO to any of these, then you are a candidate for Thread face lift and you obviously do not want surgery
How long do threads last?
Thread lift results last about 1-2 years. Surgical face lifts typically last 5-7 years.
One of the main advantages of threads is that you can always come back 1-1.5 years later and do it again to easily maintain it.
When, after a surgical facelift, one rarely can or be able to have more than one face lift because of all the scar tissue created during the first surgery.
Any Downtime?
There is no social downtime after this procedure. No addicting pain meds to take and no antibiotics to upset your stomach. You might develop a small bruise with some soreness, which is totally normal.
We do ask that with MINT threads, you refrain from strenuous physical activity.
If your job requires heavy lifting and/or physical activity, we advise to take off for 2-3 days following your procedure to be safe. Unfortunately, we cannot provide medical excusal due to threads being an elective, cosmetic procedure.
How Do Threads Work?
They stimulate your body to produce inflammation which will build collagen and scar tissue in the area where the suture is placed. Over time, approximately 4-6 months, the suture is broken down by the body and the collagen produced is yours to keep.
Which Area can be Treated?
-
Eyebrow lift
-
Wrinkles
-
Saggy cheeks
-
Smile lines
-
Smoker’s lines
-
Saggy Jaw or Jowls
-
Chin lift
-
Lip border
How Long Does TREATMENT TAKE?
The duration depends on the area to be treated. It is important to properly clean and prepare the skin, as well as the numbing medication to work, which usually takes about 15 min. The actual procedure usually takes an additional 30-45 min to complete.
What are the most common Side effects?
The most common side effects are discomfort, soreness, bruising, and bleeding. Very rarely does one have to think about infection, suture migrating or becoming visible through the skin.
Our staff is very meticulous when preparing the skin and is using the highest standards in antiseptic techniques to avoid any of the side effects.
Do I Need Filler Too?
Filler is great to add volume, and threading is great to keep that filler sitting where we want it! We'll use filler to add volume to areas that have lost it due to aging. For tougher lines we can start with filler and then use the threading to give treatment an extra boost.

Different Thread Types
Smooth- used for superficial wrinkles and lines
Volumize- used for defining the lip border, filling and lifting the deep wrinkles or fold, ex: smile lines.
Lift- lifting power with small barbs that “lifts” the skin up and returns it to its original youthful and natural place.
